Changes
- Add 14 approved, evidence-backed technologies: AWS Key Management Service, Apache Beam, Apache Ignite, Appian, Azure Key Vault, BIND, Cloudflare, DNSSEC, Domain Name System, Google Cloud Bigtable, Google Cloud Dataflow, OutSystems, PowerDNS, Twilio SendGrid.
- Add documented AWS, Azure, Google Cloud and DNS family relationships; mark BIND as requiring technical context for matching.
- Preserve all 1,453 technologies from release 2026.10.6 and its existing evidence-review exclusion.
- Two additional approved candidates, Apache CloudStack and AWS IAM, remain outside this release because interrupted creation outcomes are unresolved.
Mapping older Beast fields
requires_context is explicit true or false for every technology. Apply false to clear a previously stored true value. In schema 1.2.0, omission means false.
short_description→description: the reviewed public summary. It can differ from Beast text; omission means no approved summary.cv_category→category_ids: join each ID tocategories[].idand read itsname. The result may contain more than one category.domain→domain_ids: join each ID todomains[].idand read itsname. The result may contain more than one domain.
These are reviewed classifications, not copies of Beast strings. Treat omitted ID lists as empty. Replace stored classifications from each complete release; retain legacy source values separately if exact Beast text is needed.
Versioning
Taxonomy releases version the dataset using calendar versions (YYYY.MM.N). Website updates do not change the dataset version or its checksum. The JSON schema uses semantic versioning and is currently 1.2.1. Consumers should pin both, retain the checksum, and inspect release changes before upgrading.
